Some local seascapes

The pier is apparently on death row, pending demolition due to it's very poor condition (the images just about show how it has buckled at the middle).

Anglers, in their stupidity, still climb over the barricades to go fishing.

All with the 10-20 and 10 stop filter.

Totally irrelevant to the photos but in response to your 'anglers' comment ....

There was an old fisher named Fischer
Who fished from the edge of a fissure.
One day, with a grin
a fish pulled him in .....
Now they're fishing the fissure for Fischer!
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Nice, classic compositions and really enjoyed the long exposure mixed with daylight conditions.

The last for me has the better cloud positions as I get a better feel of impending cloud cover.

PS, on the last, watch the horizon

Thanks all.

Ah, the horizon in #3; Lightroom usually does a good job in automatically levelling things out, but I'll have to learn to double-check in the future

I'm not at all a fan of the blurry long exposure sky look, but here it is not too distracting and your sweeping views into the vastness of ocean ahead sure makes up for it!

The 10 stop filter has been a learning curve, with results being okay.

After a certain shutter speed (60 secs), the desired effect was lost. For example I can't see myself using this filter for flowing water work.
