My kind of set that David, really well executed.
I have to say I really do like taking macro winter shots...one of the reasons I got my macro in the first place.

No.6 the standout for me.
I feel like 3 is so nearly a winner too, but the out of focus part at the front is blocking the part I really want to see!

These are really superb and they have got me thinking that it would be good to do some frost images with my butchered zoom and reversed Nikkor enlarger lens.
5 and 6 are the ones that really hit me in the eye.

WoW! Looking beautiful. The macros are just awesome. You are just reminding me of how beautiful nature is around us.

Slap in the middle of England
These first ones were on a spot where the sun was rapidly melting everything, leaving behind only the skeletal remains

You can clearly see how the crystals have formed into hexagonal towers
These are from a more sheltered spot where there was a lot more frost .....

This looks more metallic than frosty as I reduced the highlights and increased the contrast in PP
The 1st February is the festival of Imbolc, marking the demise of Winter as new life struggles to emerge
