Some nice compositions, but quite a lot of noise. What ISO were you using?
Pentax K-30, Pentax K-m, Pentax 18-55mm DAL, Pentax 50-200mm DAL, Pentax SMC DA 35mm f/2.8, Tamron AF 70-300mm Di LD, Ricoh XR Rikenon 50mm f2, Sigma 18-125mm, Sigma 10-20mm, Pentax FA 50mm 1.7

I suspect the high amount of cropping is revealing the image noise on some of these.

I was using ISO 100, and I did see the noise when I cropped, so maybe for the crops should have used a different lens and zoomed in ?
The compositions is where I struggle, but I am learning and these comments and looking at them myself will help me.
Regards and thanks

The images are fine and nothing wrong with the composition, this lens is a good lens do you not have any software to reduce the noise,
Jack.

there are lots of od noise removal prorames, but the best ones do cost,
neat image is great as you can download the profiles for each camera and it does it all for you.
i also use topaz denoise, and noise ninja, and noiseware pro.
all are very good.
oh and a nice set.

Colin,
Good job with these, given your focus was on composition (and thus by extension, also on choosing your subjects). The noise was the thing I homed in on too, but that's a separate issue.
On the Gondola shot, check out the metal beam above the RHS of the actual gondola itself. There's a spiral shadow - did you shoot that one through glass? It doesn't seem to be replicated in any of the other shots in this series.
You'd be happy with these IMO.

Hi Jack & Garath,
I downloaded neat image (the free version) not studied it completely but this is the result from one of the shots.

I think its an improvement over the original.
