And finally ... a sort of bird picture, just made me smile when I saw him look twice at the logo

Really nice set Mike

I went out around Alyn Waters Country Park yesterday and all the wildlife was hiding - not a singly shot

I need some of your luck

Nice one Mike.

Looks like the AF did a decent job of picking out the blue tit and the spuggie in the trees. Done well with the tracking too

Not so much Stuey, when I had finished I carefully dismounted the 50-500mm and put it in the bag ... followed by the lensless camera and closed the car boot. I then looked up to see a grey Heron come into view, circle me a couple of times as if to say "hey, even your Pentax af could track me at this speed" and then fly slowly off into the horizon.

You need one of these.

My K-5 lives in mine attached to the Bigma about 90% of the time. Very quick to whip it out again.

The only drawback is that it doesn't quite fit with the hood on the extended way round, and it's a bit tight in the case if you reverse it. Still a lot less sodding about though.

At least you spotted it though Mike

When I said luck perhaps more accurately I should have said patience and skill

Nope, just luck.

Few more just because I'm bored, it's raining and my wife has gone off to Spain for a few days and left me here looking after our son and the dog.
