Smeggy - I done a pano about 2 years ago, and got it published to the following sites:

The purpose of both sites is so that folk with 2, 3, and even 4-monitor setups on their computer systems have one continuous image across the monitors. Maybe this is something else you may be interested in?

Great stuff, haven't tried panos but having just bought a Sony RX100 which has brilliant pano execution I'll be giving them a go

The phone box was inspired. I usually think of panoramas as being a useful way to capture something big, so to use the technique to capture the claustrophobia of a telephone box rather appealed to me. I can't imagine it was easy to do either.

Another for the phone box and it's red as well, some
of the ones still in use have been painted green which usually
means council maintained and not BT

It sounds like a flippin nightmare to stitch. I love the phonebox too and would like to know what program you use you stick them all together??
Keep up the good work

Daniel - I dunno how Smeggy did it, but I think it can be achieved with Microsoft Photoaynth, or something similar.

Cheers peeps glad you liked 'em - I'm particularly proud of the Phone Box pano as it was a bit of a challenge
The hoz and vert shots were pretty easy. Just set the tripod up and the cam on 12sec timer and shut the door and waited for the shot to complete.
The down shot was the tricky bit. I had to take about 10 different shots, including some with the door open and the tripod at an angle.
And yup it took ages to stitch together mucking around with control points and masking. Done in PTGui.
The fundamental issue with panos is parallax error. To avoid it you have to rotate the camera around the Llens' entrance pupil so a proper pano head is a must really.
The other important issue is not only avoiding tripods and the photographer in the shot, but avoiding getting shadows of the same.
The Garage and the Sex Shop pano is a good example for this. The street lighting cast some really strong shadows

I had to take several down shots including some from a different viewpoint so the shadows are cast in a different place. This means altering perspectives for the final stitch and highly complicates matters.
This pano also highlights exposure times. The main shots were about 6 second exposures, and at that the garage forecourt was, as you could imagine, blown out. So multiple shots were taken to take care of that too.
So yup takes a lot of work, but very rewarding.
Hoping to get out and do some more in the near future
