SMC Takumar 55mm f1.8

This M42 screwmount lens is the last Takumar version and the one that got me addicted to the subsequent K series which were optically identical. It's a lovely little lens in excellent condition, a real pleasure to use with a silky smooth long throw focus ring. I haven't got a rear cap for this, the front one is a cheapo. I'm asking for £35 plus postage.

It's a fantastic lens that needs a good home. The 55 f1.8 in all its variants is the best bargain in the Pentax catalogue imo. It is a joy to use at f1.8 to f2.8 giving a dreamy quality that has a sharpness and detail but also a lovely softness too. Stopped down there is impressive sharpness and detail. I paid £40 for it which was probably a little too much but it has been worth every penny as it has taught me a lot and was my entry point into K series lenses (Takumars in all but mount).

Here are some images from tonight's dog walk. I find it one of those lenses that just makes something out of nothing and inspires creativity. When you lack inspiration, put this on the camera and it just has that bit extra, makes you look for what you might overlook:
