Been there since June (was £249) - I think the lower price is due to the dust inside - the images don't look too bad but it's not always possible to tell the extent from a few photos !

Yes tthat is correct Lenny, the lens has indeed been up for sale for some considerable time, It's the reduction in price that prompted me to post it.
As for the dust, I don't think I've ever seen a lens that didn't have some dust, even brand new lenses can exhibit signs of dust. However, someone with the correct tools and a modicum of DIY skill should be able to perform a cleaning operation without difficulty and return the lens to tip-top condition. I've generally found that dust tends to effect the front and rear lenses more than internal lens blocks and the front and rear glass is usually more accessible and easier to deal with.
Even so, perhaps lens tinkering should be avoided by the faint hearted.
