Which shouldn't be a problem, since you can get info about that problem on hundreds of post on the internet.

Each of these lenses (except the 300) was bought as soon as they were availlable in UK so are early versions of each model (e.g. DA*50-135 bought Sept 2007 and the DA*16-50 bought Oct 2007).
A few percent of people who have had SDM problems make an awfull lot of noise about it and in my oppinion are unnecessarily downing the product and scaring of new buyers.

We did have a non-scientific straw poll about this a while back. Sadly, I am one of the people for whom the SDM failed and as I have only one SDM lens that makes it a 100% failure rate.

I had my AF Motors replaced on both my 16-50 and 50-135. My 16-50 was acting up and the new motor works perfectly now. I was told that it is the newer version AF motor. I had the 50-135 AF replaced just in case.

I have very occasional (and I mean very occasional) AF issues with the 50-135mm, where is will not focus in either AF or MF. However by switching the lens with another and switching back, it works. It is a fault, but not to a point to affect me at the moment.

Anyone else had this kind of problem? Anyone know how long the (UK) warranty period is on DA* lenses?
Standard warranty is 1 year. If bought from a Pentax Pro dealer its 2 years. If bought used, none at all.
