SMC A 35mm f/2.8

have come across one of these lenses, reviews seem pretty scarce leading me to believe this is a rare lens.

The pics I have taken so far are really sharp.

Anyone else have one & how rare is it????

As I understand it, the lens was quite good, but the faster 1:2 version was more popular. And anyway, 35mm lenses rather went out of fashion by the time the K-mount came in. 28mm became the standard wide-angle.

Is this the one you mean? Perhaps the colour put people off.

Hey that looks er different. Mine is a KA lens, so slightly different to that lens.

This is actually the M version. Optically identical, I believe.
