Very nice, the first and last are my favorites.

Love the plummage on number 2. On the last one, I'd do a tighter crop, getting rid of the far left hand side. A very nice shot

Number 3 is a very nearly shot. Think its just gone past you. I get these too as I learn with the same lens. Seems a bit noisy as well.

You enjoying the lens Roger?

Thanks for all your thoughtful comments!

Of them all, the shelduck in flight is the tightest crop.
I think no.4, the pintail, may be a little out of focus!

Here's a reworked no.1:

As for the last, that's my fav. too! I think the business of the ducks on the left adds to the "dodginess" of the landing, whilst still giving the swan somewhere to land "into".

And yes, Alan, I'm certainly enjoying learning to use the lens! As i've mentioned before, it's sometimes a struggle balancing distance from subject (& thereby, crop requirements) "restricted" ISO performance of the K7, high shutter speed & precise focusing.

But, apart from that, & in the absence of a K5 with DA*300 lens.....

If it was that easy, they'd all be doing it!
(Oh, b****r, some of you are!!!)

Thanks again,

Roger.
