I works pretty well too, a good subject for a long exposure image. The only slight negative for me is that there is not more detail in the sky, it has got a bit burned out in the top right.

Interesting photo. I would leave colours though, as - according to our "cliche" discussion - "b&w should be reserved for street photography only"

I don't know about it being reserved, but I would like to see the colour version, even without the long exposure.

Nice image, Paul. It looks a pretty scary place - by the size of the wall that must be one huge hole.

Thanks guys! I wish i could have had a little more room too but my lens wasn't wide enough Grrr!! I shall have a play and see what I can do for those that would like to see it in colour

Its very striking and attention-grabbing , and appears very crisp and sharp throughout the whole DOF (well, I mean a large DOF!). The long exposure movement works perfectly on the sinkhole, but I find it annoying in the sky. Maybe on another occasion you could shoot an extra frame at a wider aperture and faster speed to catch the sky without movement blur, and blend the two in PS?

Very good, but I must agree the bright area of sky is fighting with the sink-hole for attention.

I don't want to see the colour version, I'm happy with this one, although I can't decide if I'd have preferred a little more space round the sides, as a result I can only give it 9.9/10

I think is an excellent photo, very eye catching.
I do agree though if you could tone down the highlights in the sky a little.
