Simply Spring

It's been really noticeable over the last few days how many plants and trees are starting to bud and flower so a couple of short wanders around the garden with both the A series 200mm lenses (the * Macro and f4 telephoto) documents the stage they are at. I always find the emergence of flowers, plants and fruits such an uplifting time.

The first 12 are with the Macro, the last 2 non Macro.

1. Fig Leaves - 3 days ago there was only buds, no green leaves!

2. Acer - I have a couple of these in large pots, this one is the larger and greener one.

3. Blackcurrant buds and flower

4. Blueberry bonanza - I have 2 of these in an old water tank, these produce an abundance of flowers but tiny fruits.

A very basic set, but a good record of April 14th 2025 - if I remember I'll try to do the same again on the same day next year

Love the colours and the isolation of the subjects, particularly with the macro.

Really like these! Up our way, there's not much that's anywhere near to providing such great subject matter. Lovely images, all of them.
