Thank you Davex, know the K mount may increase the value a little but think your estimate may be perhaps too high, may be others will have some suggestions as I was not hoping for anything as high as that although it would be nice.

Shame your not in the market for it from my point of view, not that I would accept more that it is thought to be worth at least not on the PU forum.

1 With such a range, the quality is unlikely to be outstanding.
2 Despite the range, it doesn't cover the most popular focal lengths because it was designed for film and doesn't "work" on digital.
3 It's slow at the long end.
All in all, it will be of interest mainly to film shooters, and digitogs who can't afford the 55-300.

G[/quote]True it was not an expensive lens but it was I think designed for digital or it would not be labelled a DG would it?
I bought it and used it for taking dogs in the show ring because of the wide range and light weight; the results are good considering the range.

I am sure it was designed for film, or at least a so-called "full-frame" sensor. It might well "perform" very well on digital, but it doesn't "work" as a single all-purpose lens. On film it would.
I'm sure you'll find a buyer on Ebay. After all, 300mm is 300mm, and there are not that many choices.

I do have a member interested and would prefer it to go to someone on the forum. They say it is designed particularly for digital cameras but I believe they are talking the design of the lens and not if the lengths quoted are those for film or digital sensors - shows how daft I am I thought all distances were quoted in 35mm - you live and learn.
