sigma 180mm pics

Finally got out with my new Sigma 180mm macro.
Iwouldn't say it was better than my Pentax DFA 100mm (maybe just need a little more practice)
But certainly a very good mid range telephoto.
Your views :

Im impressed by the 2nd shot. Is this a normal size ant?

If it is - it is very good indeed.

I would recon the best thing is the longer working distance...

What would you call normal size : This one was about 8mm i would say and quite normal, probably mid range as there are smaller ones as well as bigger ones in these parts.

And yes i like the longer working distance but it takes a little more getting used too.

I guees thats a little bigger than the "normal" dansih ant Still a very good shot IMO.

Very nice photos but the macro ones I would say are no better than your usual shots (excellent as normal).
As you say though, it makes an good dual purpose lens and the bird ones are nice and crisp.

Looks like it may have been worth the wait

It's the increased depth of field that I like.
