Sigma 18-125 in london

Took this new lens down to London last week.

Picked it up for a stupidly low price as it was marked broken? spares or repair and I got lucky and have myself a stunning new lens for pennies. Very impressed with its performance. Most of these shots were ISO 3200 or less, all shot handheld with a K3 which also performed amazingly in the museums. A lot of those were down to 1/3 second shutter speeds due to the poor lighting.

British museum, spanning panorama stitch of 6 photos.

Really nice series of photos and from a great lens.

It sounds like you got a bigger bargain than i did. I walked into my local LCE and they had the 18-125 in the window for £29. Couldn't believe it when they didn't query the price. Happy days. And its just about the only lens i use at the moment.

Impressive images. Nice colour balance, clean and appropriately sharp for slow shutter and high iso. Have you post processed much? I have this lens on my K30 for 90% of the time without major issues. I would like a mm or two wider but the telephoto end is as long as I require for general walkabout. It looks as this if this lens has the resolving power to live with the more demanding new sensors.

Really cracking images.
pretty much as described above.
Really like the abstract image of the hole in the roof or whatever it was.
Was this a random art piece in the museum or just to cast light on the exhibits?
