Even though it a used item, you still have to pay duty. this country just bleeds you dry.

Yes, in general please don't link to auctions. It doesn't make our bargain seekers very happy.
Best regards, John

Well, there were a lot of bidders already, I do not think this changed the situation much.... I would think that those looking for a 100-300 would have saved a search?

IMO these links are welcome and useful, I have found my 100-300 thanks to a link posted here. I hope you will allow them also in the future. They might not benefit the bargain hunters, but the general Pentax community yes.

No, BIN prices can't be pushed up... so it's a case of grab it before someone else does

So links to Ebay items are allowed as long as they are BIN?

I'm sure ebay links are allowed but to be fair I wouldn't post a link to something I'm interested in so wouldn't post a link to something I'm not, unless I'm the seller - I'm pretty sure that Wakefield isn't in the USA so I'm not accussing the OP of this!!

If it's any consolation, I have one of these lenses and it's worth every penny anyone pays for it - it's just brilliant

That's just it. It appears ebay links are not allowed, something I did not know.

I think this is one of those self regulating rules where it's considered impolite to post ebay links but not against the rules. Like I said, if I was watching something on ebay and someone had then highlighted it on a forum full of pentax nerds I probably wouldn't be pleased .

If it had been against the rules it would have been deleted.

I'm not sure this one really counts though as it's an American auction

woodworm has summed it up perfectly. Whilst not against the rules as such, quite a few members have expressed their displeasure at these links, over a long period of time.

My feeling is we are all capable of doing our own searches, but of course BIN items are another matter altogether, and in any event it's down to the established etiquette that members tend to follow.

HMMM the internet is about information exchange, if you make this information available for public viewing then it is worldwide and not local. Rare items will hold great interest to members on here, however I respect people's wishes and shall not post further Ebay links.
