Sadly, you can say that about almost everything: bookshops, coffee shops, motorcycles... Even then, some "brands" are owned by the same corporation so the real choice is even more limited than it first appears. I don't know how true it is, but I have been told the poundstore and the 99p store are owned by the same company!

(befor some of you say it did it hurt i do think about things)
as a photographer that was about in the hight of film there was a lot of slr
we had the russians at it with the practica and zenith
the contax and yashica and minlta who all had there own mounts oh and almost forgot leica but they was a bread of there own
then there was canon nikon and olympus all had there own mounts to for the lenses
then there was pentax hum pk mount now where do we go from here
ricoh (who now own pentax) pk mount
chinon /pk mount
vivitar /pk mount
sigma/pk mount
i suppose some of you will remeber a few more to add to the list
and now we can count the dslr on one handwith a few fingers missing
somthing whent wrong some where
