Right, so now I've ended up with a funny collection of lenses
a DA 16-45, the 17-70 SDM, a 28mm f2.8 (chinex i believe, worth next to nothing), a smc-m 50 1.7, and a tamron 70-300 di ld which I'm tempted to get rid of...
should I keep the 16-45, and the 50 1.7, or use them and the tamron to recoup some money to get something else?!
I love the 17-70, no chance it'll be going, and the chinex only costed a fiver, i could save it as a spare ;P
help!!!

If you've the DA17-70 I don't think the DA16-45 will be much on the camera because they have the same focal range so I would sell the 16-45 at least.
The 50 f/1.7 is your only fast prime I wouldn't sell it because it adds something what the other lenses don't have.

I agree with Stefan. The 16-45 is nice, but the 17-70 covers all but 1mm of it's range! Apart from that, it seems a very rational line up. All the others seem quite useful, including the Tamron.

I agree with the above and wouldn't get rid of the 70-300 as in my view, it will be a very useful lens/focal length.

In fact I am off out now with my Sigma 70-300

I also have a 28mm (Vivitar 28mm f2. - I may also give that an outing this afternoon.
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.
