Hi, I'd also turn SR off for panning shots such as motor sport when I would probably use a monopod.
I generally hand hold with SR on down to a 1/15th second.

Must be different on the K5, page 141 of the KR handbook says otherwise

TBH I've never noticed much difference off or on.

In the User manual we are advised to switch off Shake Reduction when using a tripod, can anyone advise if the same advice should apply to a Monopod wher, obviously, some lateral movement is likely during use ?
