Selling camera on ebay

Could I ask a favour of the membership please?

I have listed my DS on Ebay and would like opinions on my pricing. Item number 170055698225

The camera is in very good condition and has no damage at all.
It has a fault in that the pop up flash works sometimes and not others. This does not effect any other operation of the camera and it also functions perfectly when fitted with the 360 FGZ flash unit. It is solely a fault in the pop up flash unit.

Do you think this is a fair price?? Am I asking too much considering the slight fault?

I personally think you've under-priced it, even with the fault.

I would have started it at £150 and let the bidders take it up from there.

Seriously Steve, I agree with Mannesty I dont think youv'e asked enough, I personally wouldn't have used buy it now but chosen a low start bid (say £50) with a £175 reserve, and again as Mannesty said, let the bidders take it from there

Something else I noticed which is a bit naughty of you, is the statement "copied cd of pentax imaging software"

If ebay spot this they will stop the listing.

Just had a thought, maybe if "someone" pointed this out to ebay they would cancel the listing (and as far as I am aware also the listing fee)

you could then re-list it at a higher price.

Didn't mean to be naughty with the software cd.

Thanks for the input on pricing. I was more concerned that someone would think I was trying to rip them off due to the flash fault.

Well, I was just thinking of taking the advice given here on pricing and went to ebay to find it has just sold. at the buy it now price.

Oh well, £150 towards a K10D is better than a slap on the face.

Just point the buyer in the direction of this forum, then he/she can read this post and discover what a bargain they just got.

At that price, they might already be a member and saw this thread.

The buyer has been a member of eBay since July 2004 and, apparently, this is his or her first purchase?

perhaps they've never seen a bargain like that before

more likely they registered a long time ago and forgot about it, then recently come ack to ebay after someon told them "you really should try" or something.
