Took this on a 3 day trip to Thailand last week. It was inspired by a Tag Heuer magazine advert from my youth (can't quite remember when, perhaps around the mid 80s). What do you guys think?

I think it would have looked better with goggles (the original advert had 'em), but I didn't have any.

Tim, I really feel for you. Being stuck in awful places like Hong Kong and Thailand.

On the shot: It must have been very difficult on the timing. I think it works without the goggles, you should have held the eyes open, though. Focus is fairly good considering the set-up. I like the soft shape of the water, especially over your left ear; the reflection on your upper forehead also looks very nice.
All in all a worthwhile experiment I would say.

Thanks guys!

Ralf, Gareth, the timing was indeed a bugger. This was the only one out of around 100 shots where I achieved what I was after (the unbroken layer of water over my face). I wish my right arm was sticking out like my left arm It would have been easier if my wife had agreed to do the swimming, but she was sunbathing and told me to p&^@ off

I can't really tell if this is in focus or not. The failed shots where my head had exited the water I am definitely in focus. The layer of water over my face really confuses things, it looks like this is slightly front focussed. Not sure how, I was surfacing it prety much the same spot each time (one arm's length from the edge), and from memory it wasn't a huge aperture.
