Well worth pressing the shutter button. If you don't experiment, you don't develop as a photographer. The image might be stronger if the seed, rather than the near-vertical, foreground stalk, was in focus as that's what the eye is drawn to. But there's definitely potential in 'out of focus with bright highlights' - I've even been known to dabbling in it myself. Keep trying, keep looking, you'll see this sort of thing all over the place once you get your eye in .
