I really like all the photographs that you submit and cannot understand why you have not been a competition winner

I like them too but I'm pretty sure that Prieni has won previously, or am I mistaken?
The competition round here is of a very high standard though.

I have won once, so it is not as bad as it seems
Now, why haven't I won more often? Well, this competition is judged by individuals, with different tastes and preferences. You can see that clearly when you choose a winner for the running competition and then compare with the choice of that week's judge. (Having said that, very rarely it happens that I absolutely disagree; normally my #2 or #3 favourite is winning instead of #1 or I can understand the judges choice when I read the comments).
But I take all this as a positive. It's good that we have individual tastes and it is very educational to read the judges comments (I always do that with the competition thread in another browser tab to see the pic that is talked about).
Another reason is that there usually is very strong competition and the judge has a variety of great entries to choose from.
It won't hold me back from taking part... And looking at the number of entries for the last competition only serves to strengthen my view that it is second place that one should be after...
