SD Card problem

I recently bought a couple of 2 GB Hi-speed "own brand" cards from My Memory. On a couple of occasions when transferring images to my PC I got the error message "Incorrect Parameter Function". I manually copied the files off one by one and discovered that a couple of the pictures coldn't be copied. I tried using specilaist recovery utilities like Diskinternals Flash Recovery and mmCardRecovery, to no avail. After the first time it happened, I reformatted the card in the camera. On both occesions it happened after I deleted some pictures off the card (while the card was still in the camera) and continued shooting. I'm guessing that after deleting the picture the camera tried to record over the now un-allocated space, failed, and some sort of corruption crept in. Or I've got a duff card. Anyone else come across this sort of problem, after deleting files from a card in the camera?

I think I have solved the problem with my 2 GB cards - on careful inspection I discovered the card to be cracked. Since I cannot be sure that the card arrived in this condition I can't reasonably ask My Memory for a refund. I will probably continue to buy cards in the 2 GB range as the increase in RAW file size for the K10D means that I want to get a reasonable number of pictures onto each card.
