Don't get as much use out of my macro lens so thought i should give it a go . If anyone can identify what i presume is a moth it would be great to put a name to it .

i dont know what its called but i do no there is something even worse in my kitchen its caled an asa and he works for that weord chef heston blumantal lol

Hard to tell from the images alone, but it could be an 'Angle Shades Moth'.

Thanks to both of you for taking the time to suggest what the moth is - on balance I think it's a lime hawk moth having looked at both , maybe this helps

You're welcome. We had one on our garage door a few years back - quite an impressive wingspan and great camouflage (although not on the black garage door!).
