I always used to volunteer for Christmas/New Year, standby duty. Working tommorow morning as well, wonder what it will show then.
Then free of bank holiday, duty’s for the rest of the year. Method in my madness.

I always enjoy the NORAD Santa special.
My son often has to work over Christmas. This year he is free tomorrow and on standby for Boxing Day. Providing there is no major disaster in the Netherlands, and/or none of his colleagues go down with food poisoning he should be OK.
He is working today - a current affairs programme, which has been pre-recorded, but needs him and a couple of cameramen on standby just in case. Meanwhile the presenter, and director are safely home enjoying their Saturday, so how they are supposed to cover some major breaking news is anybody's guess.
