£177 is a bargain and it'll work fine on the K10D. It is functionally identical to the Pentax AF540FGZ and probably made on the same product line(s).
I have two of the Pentax 540's, one made in Japan, the other . . .
. . . yep, China.

Mannesty, I'm assuming that you mean it will use P-TTL etc. I have a K10D and at this price it seems criminal not to buy one - and as I'm in need, that's just what I'll do! I'll post my results when I get it, but as they're giving 1-2 months delivery time don't hold your breath (at least that'll give the credit card time to refuel!)

Thanks, I appreciate your advice and the order is in! Amazon is strange, sometimes it has a product significantly lower than anyone else, but for no apparent reason. I can hardly see it as a loss-leader, and the long delivery doesn't indicate overstock. Um...

Well, it arrived today (at the earliest of the Amazon delivery estimate range.) And hey presto, it works like a dream! Usual bloke method - start using it BEFORE reading the manual (well, I had to read how to get the wireless to work) and very happy with first results. The kids are amazed by the wireless (but then 6 year olds are easy to please) and I can already see how much this will improve flash photography. I think I'm going to like this.
(PS It's not exactly small! Now to read that manual with a nice cup of tea...)

After further use I can confirm that it works perfectly with the K10D and does all the intelligent stuff, no problem. As for the reported problems with the 540: the locking pin is convenient and DOESN'T permanently attach the flash; the P-TTL gives very good exposure with all combinations of bounce. So I thoroughly recommend this. Amazingly, I've just seen a used 540 go for £188 on ebay!

I ask because they are currently priced at 177£ on amazon.co.uk... That's right, below the 360FGZ... Go figure!
