For anyone looking to get into the K20D/GX20 just had an email from 7 Day Shop who currently have the GX20 twin lens kit on clearance at a very decent £539 incl free delivery - maybe a new model on the way as a few shops seem to be clearing out K20Ds & GX20s ?

Anyway here's the link

The K20D with £100 rebate and DA 50-200mm from Jessops works out about the same in the end (slightly cheaper actually).

Wonder if there is a new model being announced soon .. although I read somewhere nothing was due until well into the new year.

I think the new model will be announced at the PMA.
I suspect the K20D is not doing as well as the K10D did, and that may be the reason for the discounting. Many people went for the K10D and don't want to upgrade, if that is the right word, to the K20D so soon.
Unless the new model is truly spectacular, I shall stick to the K20D and skip a generation again, as I did with the Ds.

I still reckon it's a FF camera next.

Unless a new model is (as you say) truly spectacular (and reasonably priced)I will do as I did with the K10D and buy a used K20D just after release of the new model.

The major competition for this trade show is the Photokina of Cologne, Germany.
This their website link

From 3 to 5 march 2009 they are having a show in Las Vegas.
The K10D was anouneced in November and the K20D in January.
1.5 years was the time the K10D was here and the K20D isn't a year old yet so I believe we shouldn't get any news about a "K30D" before next years winter.
I'm still a bit lost why they didn't introduce their new camera on a big fair, or did they?

All I'm focus on now are the (hopefully) splendid new lenses coming up
