Hi,
Wouldn't run out to order one.
Seems like a digital video camera to me. Sorry

Well I think it looks good.
I think they are a bit ahead of themselves - can't find any info on the Samsung site.

Martin did you scroll down through all the compacts to see the GX-20? the description is in Norwegian, but is easy to understand if you speak Dutch.

Just did a quick conversion on the price - €1265 or 947 pounds.

Sounds quite good to me .....

14.6 Megapixel, 2.7 LCD and a PC socket. Norwegian price is about 10% more than the K10D was when it came out there apparently? If the tests shape up ok and the price drops at the usual rate (whatever that is!) I'll have one!

This info begs a question . . .

Does Pentax design/manufacture for Samsung, or is it Samsung designs/manufactures for Pentax.

If the former, how on earth did anybody get permission to release this Samsung info ahead of Pentax?

CMOS sensor too, CCD ditched.

Maybe the one with the most money in the pocket has the power ?
And if so........

The above link implies it's a Samsung designed sensor, and therefore that Samsung had a big input on the development.
Fair enough. We use enough Samsung parts - NAND flash particularly.

I don't actually care who designed it - just that it works

Some (on the net) are suggesting the Samsung will have a flip-out 2.7" LCD and that the Pentax will have a fixed 3" - but ........... come with a separate, possibly larger (wireless?) screen/controller?

If you need any translation don't hesitate to ask. Danish/Norwegian is almost the same...
