Reset Windows 10 (when Windows won't boot:-

My Win 7 had a similar problem over the weekend which the computer detected and uninstalled the last Windows update itself. All OK now. I think the problem is that MS are combining all the little updates into one big one and you can't pick and choose what to install anymore.

Cheers John. The problem I have is that I can't get to the log in screen. It simply loops to the stopcodes message after powering up. I'll be borrowing a laptop tocreate a recovery disk. And fingers crossed!

To quote their method "To begin, boot from your recovery/installation media or wait for 2 failed boot attempts." After that it should take you to an option screen where you select 'Troubleshoot.' So you might not need a recovery disk if you can get to the option screen.

Hi folks
Karma.
Recently commented here about how my system is fine for editing and it is now caput.
Getting multiple stopcodes on W10 at start up and I cannot access the recovery options.
Worse, and most stupidly, I have no back up disk.
Any thoughts at all please? At the very least I need to leave feedback on the weekly comp! (Took me ages to type this on my phone......)
