I know what you mean, the site is fascinating and being a dark sky location is great for stars as well, but in daylight the stones are rather underwhelming. Great idea to liven them up with this!

For sure, and it's a location that I have wanted to visit for a while, and to be honest its only around 50 min drive from where I live so really no excuses. Regard dark skies it's not too bad to be honest, surprising for its location. I think it will be a repeat visit just for that opportunity in the future. Do like Wales for the convenience of Dark Skies though

Nice pic, but you do realize it's going to end up on some UFO loon's site as evidence of an alien visitation?

SteveH!

Some people call me 'strange'.
I prefer 'unconventional'.
But I'm willing to compromise and accept 'eccentric'.

Thank you. Yeah I have always wanted to visit. If anyone fancies a little star gazing, then it really quite a good spot for such a central location.

Great image, and idea. The star trails and your own light trails working in conjunction are quite effective.

Thank you, there is a thread here, between the stone circles, me going round in a circle with the light and the earth going in circles and how the stars are seen in that regards.
