I think that is a very plausible rumour, given his position at Pentax. I'm also quite sure that some of the development engineers have already used it (one would hope so!).

The rumour is also based on the fact that he doesn't mention anything about the equipment he took the pictures with. All his other posts mention specific bodies and lenses.

Sorry Tim, I missed that bit (you should have said "...and potentially uploaded some of the shots he produced" or something to that effect).
Yes, it's very untypical of Ned not to post camera/lens combo used to take the pictures he uploads. So this could indeed be "teasers".
