After updating DL2 firmware to v1.01 i find that auto iso no longer works in that it will not rise above 200.
Can anyone direct me to the original firmware ?

Are you quite sure that you have auto-ISO enabled? It seems strange that this doesn't work when everything else does. I suggest you check your settings before rolling back.

Thanks for responding so fast. Yes, i have it set to Auto 200-800 and it definately worked fine before the upgrade. Its not a big deal really, being used to mx.

Try as i might i cannot find a download of the 1.0 firmware tho.

It might be worth resetting the custom settings first - there may be a piece of data that's "out of bounds" and preventing the code from working correctly. A reset to factory defaults could well solve that (and is often recommended when changing firmware anyway )

Very fast replies on this forum ! Thanks.

Matt, i did a reset before flashing the firmware, as you do with the pc, and have tried it again, no joy.

When auto iso was added with an up-grade to the DS I seem to remember that it only worked if no +/- Ev compensation had been selected. When any +/- Ev compensation was defined you could still select auto iso but it never changed and stuck at 200.

So doing a search in the DS2 manual (its not covered in the original DS manual) reveals:

Sensitivity is not corrected in the following:
- Exposure mode is M (manual) or B (Bulb) mode
- Flash is discharged
- Auto bracketing
- EV compensation

Is any of this selected on your DL2?

GlynM thats it! I had been trying out a + 0.5 exposure compensation. Just turned it off and auto iso now working.

Thanks a lot,
Dav.

Shouldn't you now call yourself "exMxuser"?

Glad the problem has been solved.

No, the MX has been with me for about 25 years and still working like new and i expect it will outlast these modern wonders.
The problem it appears is with the user not the camera
