Great shots Mike

Did you take these ones handheld or on a tripod?

I wonder why they dont show any EXIF on the photo when I right click on it. Usually I am able to see as I am using firefox.

Thanks

Amin

Amin.

All my shots are handheld, I very very rarely use a tripod as I just find it too much hassle (which is why I probably bin a lot of shots).
I am not sure why but Flickr strips the Exif in all but the original size.

Oh I saw the EXIF on your gallery . nice shot, worth keeping it there as part of your portfolio.

About handheld or tripod , I fully agree with you, tripod is always such a hassle , but you definitely have done pretty well. These shots seem to be spot on on sharpness, am not sure if a tripod would have enhanced it further.

Wow they are so sharp and with a good DOF as well, splendid!

Mike and Amin, what about using a monopod instead of a tripod?

I think I have nailed what the culprit is with my focusing. I wrote about it on the other thread.
I am going to check it now and try to put it right. I have the suspicion that the majority of my shots with this lens lacked huge sharpness because of that. It seems to be way out of focus. Check the images I put up

To be honest I don't really need one here is Spain because the light is so good but I have a nice new redsnapper tripod and monopod waiting for me in the UK for when I return to the dark dreary days ...

Lovely shots. You have a great lens there......and a great technique of course.

Mike, they are really nice. The robin is so sharp, colours are warm - I like them all My favourite is the #3 - did the robin spot you?
Kind regards,

He did but wouldn't move for a while but as I got closer he got a bit twitchy until he finally flew off.
The problem I have is that he seems to land there a lot but the tree is in next doors garden and there is a bush right in the firing line so I have to move from one side, which is not very close, to the other, which is too close for him to be comfortable with me.

Thanks Richard.
As you can see your lens is getting a good workout after being tucked away all that time
