Roadside snaps

Just outside my house is a road verge with wild flowers so I took a snap about a month ago of a cowslip, and today of some others. Where the cowslips grow is a very wide verge and it used to be covered with cowslips and oxe-eye daisies but since some highway or services agency dumped a load of subsoil over the top of it they only pop up in the patches that were left. Bl***y vandals! Hopefully they will come back in time.

Very nice. There's a lot of beauty in common things.

Give it a few years for worms to turn over the soil and the cowslips to seed. You might find it's even better than before.

At least they left you a few to photograph. The clover is a nice one. Common as muck and much more lovely !
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Lovely daisies in 3, the bright and crisp flowers against the out of focus stems work quite well.

Love the shallow DOF! That opening image for me is great but that OOF blade of grass to the left of the frame does my head in!
