Ripped Packet Closeup

I took this pic purely so I could solicit opinion on whether the contents of the packet shown were likely to be counterfeit on another forum. But having visited again this evening, I find something very striking and pleasing about it.. or perhaps it really is just an indifferent snap of a torn earphone packet, and I'm going mad.

Some good textures here, but not sure if I would want to see it on my wall.

I think that's what I like about it .. strong sunlight hitting the white paper makes the rip and the shadow a bit more dramatic.

I don't like to be negative (but that won't stop me) but I can see no merit in the shot at all. The subject holds no interest, the composition seems arbitrary, the lighting is too harsh. Focus is good and it is sharp but beyond that I am afraid nothing for me.

Ditto Mike i'm afraid, nice spot of light though, and sharp.

No problems at all with the negative comments, but the more I revisit it, the more I disagree - or at least differ with respect to my own taste. Going to upload this to hang on the wall in my Second Life residence, to see what it looks like in a frame.
