RIP Sir Patrick Moore

We need enthusiasatic and even eccentric people to make science interesting, although, like Patrick Moore, they usually have a serious intent behind it as well.

There are too few Patrick Moores around and now, sadly, one less.

John, you are so correct. With the passing of Patrick another book has to be written. I hope it will be written by Maggie Pocock or Heather Couper or maybe Brian Cox, although he was very unique I think Patrick's infectious delivery and enthusiasm will continue through those that he influenced.

RIP Patrick. Our world is poorer with your passing but richer from your knowledge.
