HI
I have a Q S1 with all the lenses. I have done quite a bit of buying from Japan for various Pentax needs. That includes some of my Q lens. I have only had excellent results. They have been honest, well priced, and the items always matched the description and been a pleasure to use. So I would diffidently pursue a well price Q lens as a replacement. If you use Ebay they do offer excellent support if a purchase goes sideways.

I agree, having recently purchased the 07 mount shield lens for my Q/QS1 outfit and a 45mm f2.8 A lens for my 645N (from one extreme to the other!) from Japan, using eBay and Paypal. No issues at all and advantageous prices. There seems to be a lot of sellers there, so pricing is competitive.

Just spotted this whilst idly browsing Ebay for Pentax related stuff (as you do). Not sure if it is of interest to either party whose 06 died?

I think the adapter allows for the usual zoomed in view on the Q body.
so manual focus shouldn't be too much of a problem.
