Hi, thanks for drawing my attention. I'm an amateur BUT thing this is ridiculous. I've deleted the one image I put on there. Perhaps Ricoh would care to clarify. Anyone speak German?

I'm surmising, but I would think that, like Facebook, we give a licence in effect to use the images worldwide on any of the sites that are relevant. In other words, if, for example, it's on the Australian version or even viewed in Australia, then we've given permission for that use. Only a rights lawyer could confirm or otherwise.
I stopped posting on PPG some time ago as preparing yet another size of image was a bit annoying and I was short of time.

This https://mypentax.ricoh-imaging.eu/en/index.html site is for European Pentax owners registration of product, newsletters and a gallery all rolled up together. It supercedes previous registrations due to fears over security (!) It's not PPG which isn't part of it or is mentioned as far as I can see.
The right to use in the company sites is one thing. Owning the picture outright with no credit is another surely as Jonathan says.
I agree the sizing at 980 pixels is daft.
Perhaps someone can ask officially for clarification of this newish page.

A grant of non-exclusive rights would achieve the end Ricoh desire and the inclusion of the phrase 'non-exclusive' would allay some fears. The aim here, I'm pretty sure, is to protect Ricoh rather than to exploit photographers.

Not worth the effort then eh Stan?

Spot on there Bill I jumped through the hoops first time around but gave up after the second attempt to upload an image. Wanted to have a browse but keep getting "wrong details" etc and a message about a bleeding heart The image I was experimenting with Ricoh were welcome to, although it may have made a fortune as an abstract surrealist.

I wouldn't put a single image on the mypentax.ricoh site under the terms of their conditions, Basically you are giving them your images for free:
"The user agrees to transfer to RICOH IMAGING EUROPE and any company of the RICOH group the reproduction and exploitation rights for the content that it publishes online, worldwide and for the duration of the copyright protection, including in particular the right to publish this photograph in full or in part on any of the websites of RICOH IMAGING EUROPE and the websites of the RICOH group. He/she warrants to RICOH IMAGING EUROPE that he/she holds all intellectual property rights to this photograph and that this photograph does not infringe on any rights of a third party.
For technical reasons, the user acknowledges that his/her name or pseudonym shall not appear or is not likely to appear on the photograph."
As you are transferring all rights to Ricoh, you could also find yourself in the bizarre situation of being sued by them for selling your images elsewhere.
