OK only a 28mm fixed lens but reviews outstanding...
I've found one with 6 months warranty for 150 quid...Good deal?
New price so much higher just wondering if its a captive market...
Cheers,

Bruce

Sounds like a good deal to me. This is an expensive camera when new and anything likely to be wrong will show in the first six months.

That's quite an old camera now and a small sensor unlike the current generation which are APSC

It's still a great street camera. That price is too high. I have one to sell cheap if you would like one.

Is that not APS-C? Thought it was.

GRD - GRDIV, not APSC. GR-GRII APSC. Some street togs like the smaller sensor for the greater depth of field. Bit noisy but that's ok in street, even welcome.

Thinking of getting the Sony Rx 100 instead...good zoom range and very compact.

That was going to be my choice and I tried it a few times in the shop. I couldn't get to like it - bar of soap handling and I didn't like the controls or menu options. I bought the GRDIII really as a try out with a view to selling it on and I thought it was excellent. It convinced me to go for the GR, which beats the RX100 hands down on image quality. Different propositions, zoom and fixed. But my advice would be to handle first.
