I've got one somewhere... bought it for about 20 E here in Romania, second hand of course. It's an Auto Revuenon 80-205 mm MC (multicoated?) Macro, and for the money, it serves it's purpose. I don't use long lenses a lot, so I got a cheap one "just in case" - and I must say that it's a fairly decent lens - all metal cast, good macro, nice resolution, could do with an extra stop, but during the day it will serve you just right until you buy that 70-300.
Oh Great... One more mount to feed...

If you have the opportunity to try it alongside a known, good lens, do so. Sometimes things seem OK because you don't realise how much better they could be.

A good comparison would be with the excellent SMC Pentax-F 70-210, and given that you can often buy that lens on Ebay for around 100 euros, you would need to be pretty strapped for cash to choose the Revuenon.

Good advice: It's cheaper to buy expensive lenses. Then you don't need to throw away the "bargains" when you finally get fed up with them and buy the real thing. I speak from experience. Would you like a nice cheap 300mm? Only 20 euros to a friend.

Thanx for reply. I've just bought a Pentax-a 70-210/4 so I will have the opportunity to compare it. The revu was just so cheap and in such a perfect condition that I couldnt resist (I enjoy just looking at it )

The A 70-210 is also excellent. It will be interesting to see how they compare.
