Revamped Pentax UK web site

I was just browsing the revamped Pentax UK web site (as you do ) and noticed on the DA*16-50 page they have used that dubious image of the guy in the boat with a fictitious 'photoshopped' lens tacked on to a K-7.
I seem to remember that appearing on the web a while ago when rumours of a 400mm prime were abound

What a meant to say was I'm surprised Pentax UK are using such a dubious image...... I sure it has no bearing on what might appear officially from Japan.

And why do they persist in using that 0870 number ...

For people like me it costs a fortune relative to a local call and for mobile users too.

0870 was one of BTs biggest ever mistakes!

Likewise, I hadn't spotted that

also they seem to be circulating the images in the bottom left hand corner, now that fake lens + K-7 picture appears here

Polchraine: For 0870 numbers just go to saynoto0870.com and you can type in the 0870 number and get a normal landline number.

BTW the larger format lenses are also displayed so does the mean the 645D is coming this way?

I know all about saynoto0870 ...

They had their uses a few years back when BT could manage distribution of calls to more than one call centre, now they are just a cost, to the user and company.

Getting back to where this started, I hadn't realised that Pentax had revamped their site, but have to say that regardless of the comments above, it looks quite good - and a nice indication that may be life in this doomed company yet!

Strange that they didn’t notice that the DA 50-200 wr was blank in the old web site, and then not corrected it in the revamp.
