It's also on Stan's site.
Unfortunately, I bought my ME in New Orleans when they first came out, in 1976, and at that time only the f1.7 was available. It would have been nice to have had a 1.4.

Thanks for the links, but it was actually the 35mm f1.4 lens I was asking about - it might never have gone into production.
Best regards, John

Sorry, John. I must be going blind. Probably because the 50mm is the only focal length I've heard of, apart from 85mm, that has a 1.4 version.

I read something about this lens the other day, I was checking out and visiting a lot of the links on this Pentax User website at the time.
I believe that they only ever made eight 35/1.4's, although they must have been confident at one time as it apparently made an appearance in some of their printed marketing material of the time (not sure whether it appears in a Pentax 'Lens and Accessories' brochure.)
I will try to retrace my steps and let you know where I found all this info.
Regards
Simon

Hi John,
If you get hold of the book 'Pentax ME Super book of photography', published by Hamlyn, 1982, there is a list of then available lenses and the SMC-M 35mm f1.4 is listed! The book was 'commisioned' by Pentax UK, who presumably must have supplied all the info. looks like it was expected to be a full production run, but was pulled for some reason.
Cheers Steve.
