Red Panda & Snow Leopard - DA 55-300 shots

I've never seen a red panda before, and this guy's expression is priceless!
Did you use a short tele? Or a really small aperture?
Personally, I would have liked less DOF, to make the subjects stand out more.

I love red pandas! So much nicer than their giant cousins. A zoo near us has some. I love watching them.
I agree with Mac about the DOF though. Maybe you could apply some Gaussian blur to the background of the snow leopard to reduce the cage wires a bit?

thanks for the comments, both shots were taken around F5.8 & at 300mm...I was quite a distance from both
