for starters a great shot especially considering it was hand held. I presume this was feeding time at the farm. For me I would loose about an eighth of the right hand side, the bush is far too indistinct to frame the image.

Needs a crop but other than that, a super shot. A favourite bird of mine and a good reason to visit mid-Wales (if one needed one!)

Some up near Great Missenden in the Chilterns too. Not that I have ever seen them but a twitcher friend has seen them. K.

It's a great shot of the main bird, but agree with the suggestions to crop it a fair bit, and clone out the other bird. Perhaps something like this?

Tim's crop shows the bird off well, much better.
We also have Red Kites around the Harwood estate in Yorkshire.
It's a growing population spreading well out towards Harrogate now.

awesome birds - taken at gigrin farm outside rhayader in mid wales... It was a struggle getting decent shots...
