Wonderful colour and a terrific subject.
Did you take some closer shots / zooms (for instance of the windows at the top right hand side?)?
Really frustrating when you can't get the angles etc, but I really like this.

I must get my monitor calibrated. From low down it looks good. otherwise it looks slightly washed out.. I mean that seriously. Which might explain some of my over worked photos.

Chris, leave your monitor settings for the time being - I agree that this image is rather flat. It needs a careful boost in contrast and saturation to do the subject justice and bring it out to the viewer.

Virginia Creeper can look really gorgeous in death!
Unfortunately I've got the wrong type on my house it just
dies and goes brown
Possibly the colours are out of gamut
Still looks good though

I used to pass a few houses with this and it always looked fabuluous. Just wondering if you could have zoomed in on just a section of the house, say the left hand side and kept the turret/dome what ever its called, or the right hand side. A nice photo anyway.

The patterns on the windows look nice, but they should
never have let it get like that the creeper
leaves little suckers behind and will have ruined any
paintwork.... careful sanding off and re-painting will
now be needed. The suckers on the stonework will take
years to rot away on the stonework.
At least it's good to photograph
