This would be right up my street, I have a bucketload of lenses I could suggest for content on your channel. This theme is perfect for where I'm at with my K-1, having recently acquired it and not being able to afford the 'go to' lenses that are in the current Pentax line-up.
I have bought many full frame lenses recently to pair with the K-1, some I have kept and others have been sold. Some examples which I think would fit your theme, along with the prices I paid are:
- Cosina 19-35mm f/3.5 £33
- Sigma 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 Macro £8 (this lens has a fantastic 1:2 macro mode)
- Sigma DL 100-300mm f/4.5-6.7 £8
- Vivitar 28mm f/2.0 free, got it with a camera and a job lot of other lenses
- Pentax-FA 80-320 f/4.5-5.6 £20 approx, got it with another lens, total paid £36
- Tamron LD Di 70-300mm £36
- Pentax-M 28mm f/3.5 free, got it with a camera and other lenses
- SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 £unspecified as it came attached to a Spotmatic, which I paid £53 for, so I suppose the lens would be £20 approx
You can see images taken with some of these lenses on this Forum and in my portfolio on the Gallery.
Hope this is helpful!

I, personally, find more value in the old/inexpensive primes than zooms, but I guess there's no harm trying either!
One thing I'd say, there are usually reviews that focus on inexpensive lenses that only show them on APS-C or FF. Given you're using a K1 (if I'm not mistaken) it might be worth showcasing examples for both formats, seeing as you can crop in-camera.
Good look.

What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, vintage lenses and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!
Thanks for the words of encouragement and advice given. I have a couple of Lenses I can start with but worried I would quickly flounder if I didn't have any more to aim to purchase.. so the above small list is invaluable to me.
I need to think a little more on the structure/layout of the video's I'm going to produce before I get started in earnest... I suspect looking at my first thoughts jotted down, a brief background of the lens and and its main points of interest, size, weight, aperture range and then get out and about and take some images with it... I think id like to show some Straight Out Of Camera (SOOC) shots, Warts n all before' s and afters etc.

I'd be happy to lend you lenses for your review should you so wish, and I'm sure others wouldn't mind doing that also (not that I have much that is particularly exciting).
Would save you significant costs versus buying and give you a broader range of lenses to trial.

Wow that's such a generous offer! If this idea takes shape and gains some traction I will for sure be in touch! Thank you so much!

Under normal circumstances I too would be happy to send you my lenses for review, but unfortunately we are going to Corfu in early April (we are resident there) and all my kit is going with me as I will be running photography tuition and trips out there. BTW, I have subscribed to your channel and will watch your videos with interest.

Thank you none the less David. Your listing above is invaluable to me in any case... Enjoy Sunny Corfu. I ahve been stuck in the house working since Covid started and putting in 14+ hours a day on a pc in an 8x6 room with a tiny window is driving me stir crazy... longing for the sea/coast and some time away... what I'm trying to say is I'm bloody jealous lol

Hi David, we are based in Kassiopi, on the North-East Coast, we have an apartment that we live in, plus a further three for holiday rentals. We bought the property in 2019 and spent last year renovating the entire place. We're just in the final stages, having a swimming pool installed and new patio areas throughout, see link below for details of our apartments.

As some of you know I have a very small photography channel on youtube, where I like to show case my images and adventures with the Pentax k1. If you didn't know that you can find me here. Geoff Moore Photography.. please like and perhaps subscribe if you want to see more... (shameless plug done)
I have been giving this some more thought and it was suggested to me by a friend that perhaps I put in some different types of content to help with my channel.
So this has got me thinking and I wonder if there would be any interest in video content on cheap/budget K/m42 mount lenses, say under $50. You know the ones from 3rd party manufactures of yester year found in the local charity shops or thrift shops for my American chums.
I'm thinking the video content would include me doing a quasi review with an in the field use on the K1 and showing the images that could be produced on these lesser know, cheaper lenses? Would that idea have any legs you think?
If you think it would what would, what k mount lenses would you suggest I start with under $50? - I'll see about purchasing them on e-bay or some other market place etc... unless any one in the UK wants to gift non used lenses for me create content about?? (Worth a shot huh?)
Looking forward to your suggestions.
Regards
Geoff
