Recent Trip to Scotland

Well, the weather wasn't too good for most of the visit. 100% condensing humidity is not what you want around electronics. I was glad to have my moisture sealed bag to protect my equipment.

The last day, when we were due to fly back, was fine and that is the day almost all my pictures were taken.

This is the only shot I've deemed good enough from the other days:

We say a lot of frogs, we've not seen any in previous years. They were probably active because it was so humid.

Lots of midge bites getting this one:

Damn lens flare.

Can't remember the name of this place:

There are electricity pylons everywhere! Even going over some high passes which seem very remote. Cropped 'panorama', there was too much sky and grass in the original:

Love the kit lens, sharp, light, good close focus...

Good collection. I like the waterfall particularly - it is just so Scottish

Just back from Scotland too! It was too damp and grey for me to get any really good photos, and a badly sprained ankle didn't help matters either
I'm still going through mine to see if there are any keepers, but I fear not.
Ah well I'll just have to go back again won't I?

Some nice photos there.. The one that is of the waterfalls.. is taken at the Docharts in Killin ..
Been there many times ( I live here in Scotland) and my mum's relatives are from Killin originally..

The falls of Dochart was my first thought as well. I've not been to Killin in ages though, except passing through on my way to Ben Lawers, as it's the far north west that's grabbed my attention in recent years.

Yep, that's the place. Have some other shots with the bridge in it if you look at my web gallery.
