Raw vs Raw+

RAW+ simply means the camera records a RAW file as usual plus a JPEG at the quality level selected by the user originally.
So I would get a RAW DNG file plus a Premium Quality JPEG.

RAW+ is RAW + jpeg, you get a RAW file plus a jpeg image, I don't have the K-5 but on the K20D it reduced the number of frames in burst mode that can be captured consecutively. I find it really useful for weddings where I have a RAW file for the albums, only having to process the shots that are needed, and a JPG to quickly upload on to my website for client viewing.
