RAW FILES

Evening all I have two files, from my first go at raw. The first is a DNG FILE 12.1MB this is the raw one the second file is PDS and is 36.7mb, apart from tweeking the balance on the raw i have done nothing else as yet. So why is the PDS FILE so big. Regards Dave:? :? :? ::idea:

Don't save it as a Jpeg until you have finished editing though.
A Jpeg will degrade as you edit it a PSD or Tiff will not.

Thanks for all your help, i turned the lap top of and went for a cup of tea. I have deleted the PSD or is it PDS file, opened the RAW box and imported the image in to the editor and saved as aJpeg.
I am happy with the raw file as it came from the camera, just clicked cloudy to alter the white balance.
